The much-awaited policy to scrap 15-year old vehicles is likely to get government nod soon, Union minister Nitin Gadkari said on Friday. On July 26, 2019, the government proposed amendments to motor vehicle norms to allow scrapping of vehicles older than 15 years in a bid to spur adoption of electrical vehicles.

India was expected to lose revenue of Rs 10 lakh crore due to the coronavirus crisis, Union minister Nitin Gadkari said on Wednesday.The situation was so grim that some states do not have money to pay salaries next month, he said, adding that the country needs to tackle the crisis with positivity.

The Union Cabinet on Monday formulated the roadmap for implementing the measures related to farmers, MSMEs and others, as announced in the governments’ Atma Nirbhar Bharat package. Addressing the media, Union ministers Prakash Javadekar, Nitin Gadkari and Narendra Tomar said the measures will improve ease of doing business, attract investments and create jobs.
